Topic: The term "autism" has been overused to the point that it no longer has meaning.

Just like "trolling" originally meant a specific method of enraging people on the internet now it just means anything that makes people mad. Now, autism just means "you don't like what I like" whereas it used to denote a clearly defined mental disorder.

Same with narcissist, it's meant to mean a mental disorder, my brother said I had it because I looked in the mirror more after my weight loss.

Language changes over time. "Trolling" and "autism" have as much meaning as they ever did, it's just now a different meaning.
