One supports Israel as a good Christian and one supports the Jewish people but is an anti Zionist. First guy calls him an antisemite and their rift grows

Well the guy who's anti Zionist believes something about a specific sect of Judaism that's gross and evil or something, and believes that's who's in control of the Israeli government? And the other guy is just a normal Christian who supports Israel because it's part of the Christian obsession, which arguably stemmed from a sect of Christianity and is now a widespread belief, that Israel as a nation and the geographic area is key for the second coming of Christ.

For me it's the feeling I get that each side thinks they're pulling a fast one on the other. You have people whose whole religion is based around Jesus Christ being the promised messiah in one corner, and in the other you have people whose whole religion is based around Christ not being the promised messiah (else they would be Christians and Judaism would cease existing as a thing separate from Christianity).
Each side wants the Jewish people packed into that shitty little strip of desert because it's the Promised Land/will make the Second Coming happen.
