In 2021 the US government collected $4 trillion in revenues and spent $6.8 trillion for a deficit of $2.8 trillion. In 2022 that gap will be a lot smaller.
In 2020 for reference, before Biden was in office, expenditures were $6.5 trillion and revenues were $3.4 trillion, for a deficit of $3.1 trillion. As a person who has deeply principled objections to large government deficits, are you also extremely angry at the previous president who oversaw a larger deficit than Biden?
