I only eat fast food a few times a year tops, so I really don't rule anything out. Arby's is good stuffs.

Are there Five Guys in Florida? Five Guys is better than In-N-Out IMO, but I haven't had In-N-Out for close to 10 years. We have Jack in the Box here and that's pretty good. For me it's basically like this (of the places in my town).
God tier: Five Guys, Blake's LotaBurger, California Pastrami (local), and Federico's (also local).
High Tier: Jack in the Box, Popeye's and Whataburger

I don't know if In-N-Out has this, but the Grilled jalapenos that you can get on a Five Guys burger just clinch it for me. When I do Five Guys I always get the bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, grilled jalapenos, lettuce hot sauce, and A1 (I have kind of weird tastes), and it blows me away every time. Also, the last time I had In-N-Out was when I was in Vegas like 8 years ago, and I remember it being awesome, but it's been too long and they don't have them in New Mexico or Colorado. Sometimes I go to Arizona, but usually only to Flag, and there's nothing in between ABQ and Flagstaff.

The fact that they fry all their shit in peanut oil is something I really like -- that shit is pretty harmless. I've been eating Five guys a lot because they just opened one in a location that I drive by about every day when I'm working. I haven't eaten at Taco Bell in 8 years, and never have I eaten at Del Taco. Maybe someday I will try it out, probably when I'm back in Missouri where there's no difference between that and a real restaurant. There's also Taco Cabana and Taco Bueno.

That stuff I wrote about a while ago was my first attempt. It didn't turn out all that well since I aged the individual steaks and overcooked them, and you really need to do it with a larger cut of meat. I've been experimenting with it a lot more now that I'm making good money, and I have my method down. What I've found to work best is to get some wood chips and soak them for about 20 minutes and then wrap them in foil. I have a gas grill, and I put the foil packet in the front left corner of the grill, under the grate and poke some holes in it. I heat the grill on high until the wood starts smoking, then I turn off everything but the front burner and cook the roast for about 2 hours in the rear right corner. It smokes the meat but not hardcore, and cooks it to a nice medium-rare which is my favorite. I also rub the roast in some spices before I put it on. The cool thing about the grill with wood smoke is that it cooks the meat like grilling would, but the smoke gives it some extra awesomeness.
I watch America's Test Kitchen every Saturday Morning on PBS, and I've learned so much awesome shit from that show. It's all bomb ass, practical, soul food recipes.
