In the Bible, God seems more like a dick than Satan (mainly old testament). He flooded the Earth, killing millions of people. Sent plagues. And acts like a petulant, jealous child if you believe in other idols. I thought he was almighty? Satan hasn't even really killed many people in the Bible and he's only mentioned as a bad guy. We don't hear his side of the story. If God acted like a dick, I'd have rebelled too. Also the devil was the one who gave us knowledge. Seems more like he was helping us. Sure we got kicked out of "paradise" but that paradise sounded pretty lame. I think Lucifer is more of an anti-hero than villain.

In the the Harry Potter series, Dumbledore seems more like a dick than Voldemort (mainly the early books). He flooded the quidditch pitch, killing several people. Sent death eaters. And acts like a petulant, jealous child if you believe in transgender people. I thought he was a wizard? Voldemort hasn't even really killed many people in the books and he's only mentioned as a bad guy. We don't hear his side of the story. If Dumbledore acted like a dick, I'd have rebelled too. Also Voldemort was the one who gave us knowledge. Seems more like he was helping us. Sure we got kicked out of Hogwarts but that school sounded pretty lame. I think Voldemort is more of an anti-hero than villain.
