First one is a joke about conservatives freaking out that environmentalists are going to ban meat and make people eat bugs for protein instead. Shrimp are basically sea bugs and people will eat them so it's a lighthearted jab at that theory (though one stonetoss almost certainly believes himself).

I actually kind of like his rare non-poltical comics. Underneath him being /pol/ incarnate, I think he's a pretty typical channer, so I can relate to the stuff he talks about and his humour.

The joke is that someone who adamantly refuses to eat bugs will eat some bug-like things.
