Topic: Have any of you ever heard of the Uncensored Library?

Anonymous A started this discussion 3 years ago #106,048

It was an attempt to sneak out banned news articles from five different countries where the reporter was either killed or imprisoned while using Minecraft as a means of hiding the articles. I cannot think of any other map in this game that is actually illegal in real life and yet one of the most important video game map ever made. We take for granted the level of freedom we have in the West.

If you would like to download the map then please following the link below.

The list of countries featured are as follows:

Egypt
Mexico
Russia
Saudi Arabia
Vietnam

An attempt to sneak in, you mean? The idea is that Minecraft is accessible in these countries, so people can access banned literature via this library map. It's a fun idea by Reporters Without Borders.

Though it intrigues me what happens if the governments of these countries ever find out about the map and what happens if someone is caught with it loaded up on their computer.

So people who access a particular website address are at risk of getting arrested?

I'm a bit confused about what it actually does. I don't use Minecraft. How can I access the books in the Minecraft library without running Minecraft?
