I laugh about america how they are christian nuts, but croatia, as corrupt it is, is heavily influenced by the christian church (politically)... it's lulzy, ant there are a lot of religious nuts here actually.

People will be mega nice to you, since you're a tourist. But living here is totally different. So many let downs, in the end, your average croatian "friend" will screw you over for a cigarette.

Lol, who gives a fuck? You can buy a cop for $10 anyway... atm. croatia is mostly through adapting the EU laws.. but it's far from being used in reality...

Zagreb is actually pretty nice, still sucks that the town isn't covered with wireless, but otherwise it's pretty neato. Other 21st century achievements are Split, nice city... and Osijek has the floor on the main square heated so it doesn't freeze in winter... but that's it with the developed cities... most others are <50000 people, traditional and rural (+ village mentality... it's really like 19th century)

LOL NO... Center of Zagreb (capital city)... beer + pizza in a restaurant - $7 ... it's dirty cheap... different story is the coast side... but it's still dirty cheap (besides Dubrovnik, Dubrovnig is hyped up and expensive, yet shit cause the whole city goes to sleep at 10 o'clock)

About 5 million people here, around 1 million are retired (nation of the old), around 1 million work and around 300,000 work capable people are unemployed (probably even more, the government just sweet talks it)... and most of the work and productive industry anyway, it's just stores selling imported stuff and cafes (you'd be surprised by the amount of people employed as waitress)... that's why the economy is sinking faster than the titanic... even tho the government covers it up...
