never watched Orville because it was a MacFarlane show and I didn't want a family guy fart joke space opera but after watching the new treks i just might. it coukldn't be worse if it tried tbh. at least a cast with comedians will know how to deliver the jokes in the script smh

The only modern day Star Trek series that are worth a damn is Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds. The latter of which I heard feels more like an actual past Star Trek series. Picard was alright, but kind of meh. Discovery just isn't Star Trek.

Only the first two episodes of The Orville are fart joke space operas. You really shouldn't judge a series based upon the content produced in the past from a particular creator. You may just miss out on things doing that. If an artist only has a limited range you'd know about it. Seth MacFarlane isn't Tim Burton.

It's nothing like Family Guy lol. It's pretty modest except this one episode with a holodeck full of gay porn that made me burst out laughing.

Don't lie. It really picked up from the third episode of season one.
@1,186,174 (shelly) American Dad was different. Also, what was the fourth show? I'm pretty sure before The Orville he only had Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland Show.

the new treks are like watching that thriller tv show 24 with Keiffer Sutherland. What I mean is, you learn to stop caring about any of the characters because the writers are going to murder the ones you like anyway. Not good for rerun viewing. See it once, then fuck it.
