I like them, as long as they don't suck. There's a street in my city where all these drunk gutterpunks hang outside a pizza joint and play shitty punk covers and beg for beer money and free pizza, and that shit is just cancerous, but right around the corner at this coffee shop this badass blues guitarist is always playing, and I enjoy that thoroughly. My old bluegrass band decided to do a public rehearsal one time after we were already pretty tight, and we ended up making like 50 bucks in a little over an hour, then we blew it all on beer.
