Depends on how you look at it. The guy who shot the place up and killed innocent people with his gun. Or the Kid who pulled his legal gun out and blew the shooter away before he could get into his other clips of ammo and kill more.

The US has a gun culture. Pretty much no other country has such a culture. In many ways the US is SAVING LIVES in other countries by showing us what things could be like.
