Topic: I'm thinking of a man that died in the woods

It's not Chris McCandless, the Into the Wild Guy
He kept a journal where he wrote about kicking extra ammo into a stream and also about seeing a plane or helicopter that he waved to in a way that made him seem okay. A lot of people think that he was actually suicidal because of doing these things

@previous (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > McCandless's journal documents 113 days in the area. In July, after living in the bus for a little over two months, he decided to head back to civilization, but the trail was blocked by the impassable Teklanika River swollen with late-summer runoff from the Cantwell Glacier; the watercourse by that stage was considerably higher and swifter than when he had crossed in April. In frustration, his journal describes him throwing his remaining ammo into the watercourse. McCandless did not have a detailed topographical map of the region and was unaware of the existence of an abandoned, hand-operated cable car that crossed the river 1⁄2 mile (800 m) downstream from where he had previously crossed.[14] At this point, McCandless headed back to the bus and re-established his camp. He waved what he believed an S.O.S. signal to a plane and helicopter he encountered which was interpreted by the pilots as a friendly gesture indicating he was okay.

What are the odds that some other man, also in Alaska, also kicked his ammo in a stream, and also waved the wrong gestures at a plane and helicopter?
I think that's about as likely as both the plane and helicopter pilots being aliens from another planet, the box of ammo was actually the Ark of the Covenant, and McCandless's pen was actually King Arthur's sword.

> Treadwell was known for getting extremely close to the bears he observed, sometimes even touching them and playing with bear cubs
Surprised he didn't die sooner.
