I am tired of living where I am and was looking around at places that seem easy to move to and found that I have certain qualities that, if my research is correct, would make it easy to move to New Zealand. I have never been to New Zealand, I've seen pictures but that is about it. How is it there? Is it a place worth leaving the economically prosperous AA+ 'Merika for? Are there religious assholes who try to write the bible into law there like they do here? Just curious. Also I am not interested in fucking any sheep. Thanks.

Yep, that'd be me. New Zealand's credit rating is also AA+ actually, though with a stable outlook. New Zealand is less religious than America in general... more people are atheist/agnostic... but you'll probably find nutjobs in most countries. We have these guys. Religion never enters into law/governance here.
A bad thing about NZ is our internet sux. 10GB and 20GB per month data caps are the norm.

That comes into effect tomorrow, actually. It's not a bad as what Australia has. We have no "blacklisted" sites that can't be accessed.
The United States (for some ungodly reason) played a part in New Zealand developing a 3-strikes-and-we'll-cut-your-internet for people who download copyrighted material through torrents. For some reason, the law doesn't apply to any copyrighted stuff downloaded through http:// file sharing sites. Apparently the US want to see how it would work in a small country before implementing something similar there, or something. That might be speculation...

Being such a small country has a lot of advantages I think, and I like that as much as bigger countries try to influence us, we're still somewhat independent.
Though at the same time... I think we miss out on a lot of products and services from international companies because we're not a big enough market or we're too far away from everyone else. Some might say that's a good thing, though.

I used to live in NZ and was there a couple months ago. As far as living places go, it's great, and everything is pretty cheap. But there's a fair bit of gang culture to watch out for. Everything is subjective, of course, so you should probably visit before you decide to up and move there.
