Would it be possible to amend the US Constitution to allow for the existence of two presidents (ie, one Republican and one Democrat)? That way, Trump would preside over states that voted Republican and Biden over those that voted Democrat.

In a sense, each side could (metaphorically) have their cake and eat it.

This is how it used to work.

1st place was President, 2nd place was Vice President.

They changed it along the way, and now 1st places chooses the VP.
