I've been out taking my own photos tonight.I've had to come back as the riot police have just had me prone and threatened me with batons (I didn't realise the people I was standing next to were rioters) for taking photos. I absolutely shat myself, I'm still shaking now. Can't believe how fucking stupid I was.
The rioters I over heard were very drunk, may explain some things?

guilty by association or 'better safe than sorry' perhaps. if you were them i think you'd be hard pressed not to re-act the same way for the most part considering the volume of shit you might have to be deal with. dunno, but if you know most of the riots are instigated over phones and you see someone using a phone to take pictures you have to wonder wtf it is they are doing. i know it's not right to 'shoot first and and ask questions later' but yeah.
