Topic: Do you.. "toast" your tobacco before mixing with hash?

Everyone around here says you gotta toast that cigarette with a lighter (for example) before mixing that stuff with hash for a joint mix. But I usually just smoke it clean from a bong and don't really mind if the tobacco has been toasted. Apparently that means you sick in da head, around w'e I am.
