Topic: Why would someone in a happy relationship listen to Gotye?

JIM started this discussion 3 years ago #104,350

I stalk my ex's Spotify page. She recently listened to Gotye, and the only song by him that anyone knows is "Somebody That I Used to Know" which is a pretty big breakup song.

She's in a relationship with a guy. Why is she listening to breakup music? Perhaps she still isn't over me.

You should text her 20 or 30 times and find out

Already tried that for the past few months. She didn't respond to any of them.

Have you tried going to her house?

Send her flowers a few times. Chicks love that.

I don't know which one is hers. She lives in an apartment complex now.

Just knock on every door until you find hers. Ask the neighbors, show them a photograph and ask if they've seen her. She'll feel safe and protected knowing you're looking out for her even though the relationship is over.

spotify is like the radio. imagine hearing a song on the radio and freaking out at the implication that someone else may have just been listening to that song too

Spotify is a service in which you stream whatever song you choose to stream.

So you have to manually pick every single song? That sounds exhausting. What if you just wanted to chill to some music without having to manually pick a new song every 4-5 minutes?

You don't have to manually pick each song

I know, I'm doing the Socratic Method to help our friend Jim understand he's a crazy stalker.
