Why should anyone think and discuss major cultural trends 🤔

Because most of them don't affect most people and your opinion on them doesn't matter.

Gender is getting a lot of attention online, and there's been a recent change to redefine a woman.
For 99.99% of history it was someone born with certain genitals, and associated hormone changes.
Suddenly it's not that, schools, media, HR, government all change their definition to say it's not that.
Then anyone asks what it is, and the reaction is hostile without any new definition.
It's not a trick question, but no one can ask without declaring themselves anti-progressive, and the conversation ends there.
It's a distraction to divide people, but the blame lies on those get worked up when you ask them what they mean by a word.

Great. How does this affect me in the real world any more than the other dumb shit people argue about on Twitter?
> and there's been a recent change to redefine a woman.
Unless you're a dictionary editor who has to correct all the 2023 dictionaries... why would you care?
> For 99.99% of history it was someone born with certain genitals, and associated hormone changes.
Times change man.
> Suddenly it's not that, schools, media, HR, government all change their definition to say it's not that.
Bummer dude. Did they redefine you as a woman against your will? Do you have to sit down to pee now?
> Then anyone asks what it is, and the reaction is hostile without any new definition.
If there's no definition then how have they changed the definition? They just changed it to nothing?
> It's not a trick question, but no one can ask without declaring themselves anti-progressive, and the conversation ends there.
If you're anti-progressive just come out and say so. You don't need to resort to this whiny passive aggressive shit.
> It's a distraction to divide people, but the blame lies on those get worked up when you ask them what they mean by a word.
And I'm working to heal the division by not giving a shit about this stupid Twitter fight.

Ok, out with the old in with the new.
So what do I tell someone if they ask "what's a woman?".

How often do you get asked that? I've never been asked that in my life.

What does it mean to "identify" as a man or woman?
It's a completely meaningless word.
Referring to sex at least means something, but it's against the rules to do that now.

If you say that you are a man, then you are identifying as a man, and are, therefore, a man. Thanks.
