I am having the same debate with myself. I'm 27 with a degree, but my GPA was pretty bad and I have no contacts at my old university for letters of recommendation so my chances of getting into a masters program are basically zero. I feel like I need a re-do with school. I didn't take advantage my first time. I didn't join clubs, I didn't network, I didn't apply myself in any way above the bare minimum. My life is in shambles and not a day goes by that I don't imagine how different my life might be if I didn't succumb to depression and drink/smoke my way through college.

Trade school may be a better choice, if you didn't enjoy college. Less time, and you can learn a lifelong trade, most of which have a pay grade placing you comfortably in the middle class.
