At what point does a protest become a riot?

Still waiting to vote after upgrading to Windows 11. How many posts are needed? A lot apparently.

Opinions may vary. Would my personal view be sufficient?

Yes.

For me, it would be the point at which a protestor raises a hand/fist/blunt object/sharp weapon/firearm to someone else, or engages in an unambiguous act of destruction, such as launching a molotov cocktail at any target.

If I witnessed any such action, I would immediately flee the scene.

Anyone who isn't a violent protestor.

If you're killing people and committing arson, it's a peaceful protest. If a guy in a viking helmet steals Nancy's podium, it's a riot.

Very simple!

Put out their dumpster fires in real-time, as soon as they light them. Defend yourself if they try to hurt you in response
