Yes, many a time I purchase a wee snack and as I turn to go, I get the "you go fuck yourself you fuckin faggot" from the today's teen at the counter. "you too," I sheepishly reply, "keep on suckin' dick, homo"

But for real, I don't know why everyone takes offense to everything.

Like, calling someone a "bastard" doesn't imply bastardphobia (also, as an aside, hating something doesn't imply a phobia. Probably almost everyone that hates gay people are not scared of them whatsoever). And it almost never suggests you think the person is a literal bastard.

The use of "fag" had already evolved similarly in the late 90s/early 00s. Why did we have to scrub the word and take it literally when it hadn't been actually used that way in decades?
