No matter how much of a loser or failure I feel like, no matter how suicidal I feel, I can always rest well knowing that Matt exists. He certainly has a sense of universality to him. Really, all of us can rest well knowing he exists, for all of us are better than him and would be better than him even if we all miraculously developed late-onset Down syndrome.
And the thing is, he's always here. Always ready to respond to our every comment. We control him. We are his God.
