you don't need to tell me that bud, i'm in the trenches of indie devs. i'm out here making the low-poly spooky horror games. i am the one who knocks.
it's a shame though, like. we kind of forget that there was an in-between period, where simple vector 3D was present in 2D games, like the falling platforms in yoshi's island, as well as things like pre-rendered 3D in super mario rpg and dkc, and it feels like that didn't get its time in the retro reevaluation spotlight. i'm sure we'd all have agreed it'd looked like shit, because it does, but it would have been cool to see.
