Yes, Texas has instituted the death penalty many times for murder.

Since they consider abortion murder, it's entirely consistent they would consider capital punishment in the case of abortion.

Did you expect that a society that executes convicted murderers, and that passed laws declaring abortion to be murder, would treat abortions as murder?
