I don't care since I'm not American. However can't Americans in the wrong state just go elsewhere? Yes it's a hassle but isn't having children a much bigger hassle?

That would be a violation of the honor system, which all Americans are bound by.

Some states are trying to make that illegal

Abortion should be allowed for 19 years after the fetus is identifiable.

Or just go to Mexico, it might be cheaper than going to California or wherever.

They can do that? Make it illegal to go to another state for an abortion?

Yes! Texas even made a tip line to inform on your neighbors

This whole traveling for an abortion doesn't bother me, I guess it's because when I was a teenager you had a make a 3 1/2 hour flight to another country for a legal abortion.

See, the issue is not that women should not have bodily autonomy. They should. The issue is that some people believe that a developing human is not just part of a woman's body, but a separate human who also has rights.

Traveling to another country to get an abortion doesn't bother me (as much) because that was the only option back then. Americans can travel within their own country to get an abortion. That's a lot easier. Also if I got someone pregnant back then I'd travel with them.

But now, you can be prosecuted for traveling to get an abortion. This is a big deal and hurts women, children, and even men
Anonymous G replied with this 4 years ago, 6 minutes later, 5 hours after the original post[^][v]#1,169,756
I'd bet $100 that no people get successfully prosecuted for traveling to get an abortion in the next 5 years. The people who helped them in the state they lived in might get prosecuted, but outside the state, I don't think it will happen.

Even the threat is nefarious and should be disturbing to anyone who has intercourse
