Nope. I made a specific reason why I cannot take Republicans seriously. Not all conservatives beliefs are bad. In fact, I agree with some. But the Republican Party has become this weird death cult that worships Trump and allows nutters like MTG. Can they not get back to real conservatism?

I always find it a little strange when people say the supposed "crazies" in the Republican Party like Trump and MTG are the worst people in the party and are so absurd & evil that they're what prevents you from "taking the party seriously". George Bush and his administration killed hundreds of thousands of people by invading, occupying and destabilizing the Middle East, and they were never renounced or censured by the Republican Party. On the other aisle, Joe Biden destroyed countless thousands of lives and probably killed thousands of people through the 1994 crime bill, and he has near total support from the Democratic Party.
Don't get me wrong, I think orange man bad just as much as you do - Trump killed hundreds of thousands of people through mismanagement of Covid & MTG is basically a confirmed white nationalist who's provoking stochastic terrorism against trans people. But, serious question: do you think the absurdity of a political party is more important than the harm they cause?
