I don't understand this quote. What country or countries has a good history of choosing an ethnicity to deport on trains?
I think the quote author was going for some kind of Holocaust comparison but it still doesn't make sense. If the French wanted to exterminate an ethnicity wouldn't the best idea be to keep them inside French-controlled territory and not deport them? If they deport them outside of territory they control they will not be able to do anything further to them as they will be out of their reach.
