Covid 19 may be the greatest gift China ever gave to the far left democRATS and their corporate globalist allies.

The Covid pandemic allowed the democRATS a weapon they used to bludgeon President Trump on nearly every issue. He was labeled "racist" for cutting off travel to and from China while the Chinese isolated Wuhan but allowed travel from Wuhan to the U.S., then accused him of not taking action to slow the spread of the virus. He was talked into a two week shut down to "flatten the curve" but when he wanted to reopen to curtail the economic damage of the shutdown, democRAT governors refused to end their shutdowns, accusing Trump of "politicking with people's lives". Trump instituted Operation Warp Speed in finding a Vaccine, mobilized the military to build hospital wards, including moving two huge navy hospital ships to NYC and L.A. and had entire industries turn their production to making ventilators when he was told by the CDC that thousands of ventilators would be needed. But the democRATS and the lamestream media never slowed their criticism of his efforts and leadership. Personally, I found it interesting that Big Pharma came out with their version of vaccines two days after the Presidential election. CURIOUS?

Fascism is a System based on Consolidation of corporate power with private ownership of businesses that are under Close government control.. To facilitate this, the larger corporations are given a great deal of slack while government helps them eliminate their smaller competition in the market. It's just much easier to control a few large corporation than a hundred smaller companies, and of course the large corporations welcome the financial
benefits of having control of the market.
So did anyone notice that while privately owned restaurants , shop and small manufacturers were shut down "because of Covid" , Larger ones were considered "essential" ?

Yes, the Dining areas of McDonald's were closed, but the drive through were always open while privately owned restaurants had no such option. And Why were you more likely to get Covid at a privately owned corner store or a local dry cleaner than you were at Wal-Mart?

They frightened people into believing that Covid 19 was a death sentence and incentivised inflating the reported deaths from Covid to include any deaths where the patient was Covid Positive or "could be assumed " to be covid positive even if they were decapitated,105 years old or had leukemia.

Yes, People did actually die of Covid 19, yet the mystery is that in 2020, the worse year of the pandemic, the actual annual death rate in the U.S. was only slightly higher than average.

In fact, the CDC itself reported that there were 6,162 more deaths in 2020 than AVERAGE.
In a country of 330 million?

Just think about that.

I mean if you think he was being called racist for banning the travel instead of calling it the china virus, there's not much left.

Nowhere in America locked down as strict as they could have, and enough people didn't take even the simpley of precautions, and the curve never flattened.

He never stopped blaming china, and downplaying the virus.

Almost all the probably owned restaurants pivoted quickly to outdoor dining, the only issue was the supply chain that even the big corporations were dealing with too.

Oh, and the argument of dying with covid and from covid evaporates when you look at the large uptick in deaths in general and the global event of a pandemic that can kill people.
Discussion
The 22.9% increase in all-cause mortality reported here far exceeds annual increases observed in recent years (≤2.5%). The percentage of excess deaths among non-Hispanic Black individuals (16.9%) exceeded their share of the US population (12.5%),5 reflecting racial disparities in COVID-19 mortality. Excess deaths surged in the east in April, followed by extended summer and early winter surges concentrated in southern and western states, respectively. Many of these states weakly embraced, or discouraged, pandemic control measures and lifted restrictions earlier than other states.1,6

Excess deaths not attributed to COVID-19 could reflect either immediate or delayed mortality from undocumented COVID-19 infection, or non–COVID-19 deaths secondary to the pandemic, such as from delayed care or behavioral health crises. Death rates from several non–COVID-19 diseases (eg, heart disease, Alzheimer disease) increased during surges. The model does not adjust directly for population aging, which could contribute to an overestimate of excess deaths. Other study limitations include reliance on provisional data, inaccurate death certificates, and modeling assumptions.

Idk, I'm really lazy and haven't been too concerned with how the rest of the world has been dealing with it. Canada? LolAustralia? What countries do you consider western. European countries as well?

> What countries do you consider western. European countries as well?

Yes. I'd include all of Europe (including eastern Europe/Slavic countries) in "western countries". Basically the middle to high income countries which are not in Asia or Africa. I'm pretty flexible though. If you want to say Argentina or Brazil is your idea of a good Western country coronavirus response, that's fine.
