The USA has a sizable portion of the population working towards theocracy. One longtime method is the attempt to discard evolutionary science. There are many well-monied religious institutions doing this. Professor Dave is showing some of the specific dishonesty that one propaganda factory uses.

Who is this targeted at?

Let's say you're one of those "I Fucking Love Science!" types. You have a shelf full of Richard Dawkins books, you beat off to Neil DeGrasse Tyson, you're euphoric and your fedora is permanently tipped.

The Discovery Institute puts out a YouTube video "exposing" Charles Darwin and why evolution is a fraud. Do you take it seriously or do you just know they're full of shit?

That's how I feel about this. People who care about evolutionary science aren't young earth creationists. People who are young earth creationists think evolution is a fraud.

also consider some people chance upon such a video and become more aware of the problem in the society

there are the younger folks who tend to fantastical nonsense who could be well served by something less nonsensical
