Topic: Gas stations should have little pumps that dispense windshield washer fluid next to the gas pumps.

So you can top up on that while you fill the tank. Most cars can take up to a gallon of more of windshield washer fluid so I don't know why they don't have little pumps for that too.
I know a lot of gas stations have a beat up squeegee sitting in a pool of dirty water for you to clean your windows with but I prefer using the car's built in washer unless it's really filthy.
I just hate having to buy it at Walmart. I want to get it at the pump. I would gladly pay $4/gallon to top up the washer fluid.

That's free. They're missing out. Anyone can just pull in and wash their windshield and drive off without buying anything. I WANT TO GIVE THE GAS STATION MONEY AND THEY WONT LET ME 😭😭😭
Yeah I know I could go inside the little store part and buy a bottle but then you have to walk inside and you're always stuck waiting behind some old faggot buying cigarettes and ten different kinds of lottery tickets with a bag full of change. Then you have to open the bottle and pour it in and discard the empty bottle. It's so hard.

How much would you pay per gallon of wiper fluid? How much wiper fluid would they sell in a day? How much would it cost them to maintain the equipment? How much would the bank transaction fees eat into the margin?

It literally is more expensive at a gas station than anywhere else. Same with motor oil. And yeah, how are you using so much that it would be convenient to top off at a gas station instead of just filling it whenever?

It's pollen season and I park near/under various trees so every morning there's a bunch of pollen on the windshield.
@1,165,551 (F) > How much would you pay per gallon of wiper fluid?
See above, $4/gal
> How much wiper fluid would they sell in a day?
Probably 10-20 gallons per pump.
> How much would it cost them to maintain the equipment?
No more than a gas pump. It would basically be a faucet connected to the municipal water supply (nearly free), which mixes in washer fluid concentrate as the product is dispensed.
> How much would the bank transaction fees eat into the margin?
You do it on the same transaction you get gas, like how you can add on a car wash. So in 99%+ of cases the fees would already be accounted for (because you're already buying gas at the pump). Keep in mind this is much higher margin than gas for the station (it's just blue alcohol water with a bit of detergent).
