Topic: How much is the annual tribute from the Netherlands to the American hegemon?

The state department doesn't have the exact figures on each country listed.

I know aircraft purchase orders are above average per NATO quotas, but how much do they send annually for all forms of tribute?

In a sane world Yurop countries would shop for protection. Like every five years get bids from USA/China/Russia and see who offers the best deal at the lowest price then sign on with them just like renewing car insurance. Who knows? Maybe Russia could guarantee cheap gas all winter long or China might give you a 5% rebate on Chinese trade if you sign on with them 🤔

Just drop the facade and get over the idea that Yurop and America really love each other or have some deep friendship or something. It's all horseshit. Just make it what it is: cash for military protection. Use the market and make the superpowers compete with each other for business.

If the EU could act cohesively they would do this, but they can't even get their own armies organized outside of NATO.

The Marshall plan and the EU as a whole are a way for America to consolidate its client states in the region.
