Well, they're constructs to differentiate between types of people. So, from a philosophical stand point, one could argue that genders do not exist.

Depends on the language. In Latin there are 3 genders. 2 in French.

Genders are abstract constructs. You essentially make them up from what you expect to happen. Stop having expectations. Maybe you'll be ready to learn then.
