It depends on the person. I can have small amounts of hard cheddar or parmesean, but if you ever put enough on something to where I can taste it, it's probably too much lol. :(

It seems surprising because the Ashkenazim come from Eastern Europe, right? But Eastern Europeans don't seem to have any issue with dairy on average.
Is it because of Kosher? Like you would try to avoid eating dairy because then you had to wait to eat meat or something?
