America is what the British empire attempted but could never achieve. What a shame to meet a more enlightened, wealthy, influential, and successful version of what your country could've become.

You know what my problem with the Romans was? They just could not produce any worthwhile poets. Ovid, Virgil, Horace, all of their work was just terrible. You'd have to be a real pretentious twit to think they were actually good writers.
