Does anyone else feel like the alt-right community was formed by a group of people that came late to the party and didn't catch the joke?
I remember the late 00s with 4chan and all the edgelords. Then sometime in the past 15 years it seems like a lot of the trolling culture was replaced by people who themselves seemed trolled into thinking it was serious.

Life imitating art or whatever. It feels like society is jumping the shark.

I think they caught the joke, but didn't quite understand the underlying humor in it. They thought racism and genocide were actually on the table. So they went marching around with Nazi flags. In any case, Fuck them. I'm glad they've all shown themselves.
