I remember we had a thread up about finding new hosting, it went away, and nothing has been said. I know the bulletins say that more donations are needed before we can find a new host or renew with PRQ, but quite frankly I don't think I'll be donating anything until we're out of the bunker first, or at the very least it's announced who we're officially going with.

Basically what's happened is sim/r34r managed to fuck up again and wipe the database clean. so instead of admitting that they fucked up, they blame the host and decide to try and get some cash out of the fuckup by begging for donations.

So you probably joined after this happened the second (or was it third) time. Part of the problem might be that the way they coded this site, it can't handle even moderately sized databases, so they end up having to wipe it. The other part of the problme is that they don't know how to do simple things like keep backups.

While I don't mind donating to keep this place alive, and I've done so before, I don't like the idea of the place fully functioning only on the condition that I donate. Then it's not so much donating as paying for a service. You should use credit cards or whatever means you have to pay for the service now, and then hope that people donate. I'll at least meet you halfway and pledge to donate $10 when the site is fully operational again and not slow as hell in the bunker. You should be able to run the site without expecting donations, though donations are a good thing and people should be encouraged to donate. If you can't run the site without donation quotas, then that's a problem.

3: ReWired, host suddenly went offline, all is lost. Last backup made a day or so before the they shutdown. Paid until April/May this year, refund of money paid will most likely not happen.
4: PRQ. Nothing will happen here, but we can't afford to stay here unless we can raise something close to $200 to stay at PRW till the end of the year (PRQ is expensive).
