I really would have liked the DNC to come up with a fresh, new candidate. Someone relatively young with some experience but not like 50 years of experience. Someone like Obama. Aren't there any good Democratic governors or senators or something they could have picked that aren't 100 years old?
I remember Trump's age was a major thing during 2016 and there were a lot of stories on that with him being the oldest president to date on election day (and rightfully so, I think Trump is well past his prime) and now they're running someone who is 7 years older than Trump was on election day??? If Biden gets elected and serves two full terms, he will be 85 years old by the time he's done.
I remember people were concerned about McCain-Palin because he would have been 72 on taking office, and people were worried he'd die in office and Palin would be president. Biden will be 77 on taking office if he wins the election.

Bluntly, no lol. There are two people in the democratic party who could plausibily win a General Election, Biden and Bernie. There are a couple of fringe candidates like Harris and Warren who could win if everything went right for them. And then you just have...a sort of blob of people who are good Congresspeople, good Mayors, Governors, etc. who realistically will not achieve higher office, but could be good cabinet picks. Then you have some 1st and 2nd term Congressional dems who might be politically interesting in 10 years or so. There is no one in the medium term who is young, exciting and could maybe win in 2024 or 2028. The one possible exception is Harris if the Biden administration is successful and she is assigned a decent amount of credit for helping it succeed. It's otherwise kind of a wide open field.
