I am trying to calm down. I've been watching MSM news tonight and I realize exactly why the Corona virus relief talks stopped.
So all the news coverage can be about the Dem convention.
Crazy Pelosi is involved with it...Crying Chuck is involved with it.
The Dems dont have time to talk about stim checks right now.
I got so mad a few minutes ago I could feel my blood pressure going through the roof. This shit is nuts!!
Both sides were posturing a week ago saying Americans are desperate for financial help and then they just stop talking about it so they can have their ballroom production of a convention. This is very wrong.
Every goddamn one of those bastards who have been in Congress for thirty years right and left need to GO!!! NOW!!!

You have not worked in over a year by your own choosing. You don't deserve a stimulus check.

The House and Senate are in recess. We won't see a coronavirus check until I'd say probably early-mid October. That is very very very bad. A lot of people are going to suffer needlessly. @1,154,329 (A)
Why would Mitch McConnell adjourn the senate for an August recess just to help the Democrsts get more attention at their convention?

What happened with those executive orders? Were they bad because "president cant do that" or because it wasn't enough? Could he sign some more orders to cover the time until congress reconvenes?

Executive orders can't create new funding streams. The most they can do is re-route money intended for something else. Anything like stimulus checks or unemployment insurance can only come from Congress.

The Democrats didn't adjourn Congress. They don't have that ability.
Democrats wanted $3trillion in coronavirus aid money. Republicans wanted $1trillion in coronavirus aid money. Pelosi said Democrats were willing to compromise at $2trillion. Republicans were unwilling to compromise.

He has 136 superpowers during a state of emergency, I'm thinking with a bit of creativity they could figure a way to fund a relief package, or maybe something more drastic to help in the situation.

50 U.S.C. § 98f (a)(2)
Any officer or employee of the United States designated by the President may order the release of materials in the strategic raw materials stockpile for use, sale, or other disposition, if she determines that the release is required for purposes of the national defense (1939)
Here's a way to get some funds. Sell some extra shit we have laying around. I don't know how they would re-route it to a stimulus package though

50 U.S.C. §§ 4531 (a)(2), (d)(1)
(a)(2) President may authorize an agency to guarantee loans by private institutions in order to finance products and services essential to the national defense without regard to normal procedural and substantive requirements for such loan guarantees;
He could also make loans available to every American who is about to be evicted to prevent a homelessness crisis from worsening the pandemic!

National security or national defense is the security and defense of a nation state, including its citizens, economy, and institutions, which is regarded as a duty of government.
Originally conceived as protection against military attack, national security is now widely understood to include also non-military dimensions, including the security from terrorism, minimization of crime, economic security, energy security, environmental security, food security, cyber-security etc. Similarly, national security risks include, in addition to the actions of other nation states, action by violent non-state actors, by narcotic cartels, and by multinational corporations, and also the effects of natural disasters.

There are many ways to make money. Your inevitable $100 check from the Republicans could be made easily if you got a job and weren't a parasite whose only daily activity is laying about, having braindead newscasters tell you your opinions.

They were going to make a gigantic platinum coin to claim to be able to pay the national debt. Surely we have enough materials laying around in reserve to cover a stopgap stimulus package until congress can meet and do it properly
