I had a friend who bought a new iPhone and was like distraught for days after he dropped it and broke. I dropped and broke one of my $50 phones and I was sad for about 10 minutes. If I get a year out of a phone, I'm happy.

Ugh I've gotten three(?) years out of my 200quid phone and it's starting to show its age. It's mainly the lack of GPS which bothers me - i have a garmin gps but there are loads of road closures and detours which can add a good half hour to your route if you don't know about them or know how to avoid them. I went to pick up a kid for his birthday party on Sunday and my highway entrance was closed. The detour took a good 25 minutes and I was taking this highway to get onto another highway, so I wasn't sure that the detour wouldn't make me miss my exit so I was terrified following the detour signs sobbing on the highway. I really don't want to shell out the money for a new phone though, and fuck a two year contract.

It does, it's just the navigation with google maps doesn't work anymore. Like when I'm driving it won't tell me when to turn. I don't get it because if I'm not in navigation mode it tracks my location fine. It stopped working properly a few weeks ago.
