Topic: I saw a cult member today, risking expulsion

So about 3 hours from my city is a Christian cult called Gloriavale. It has about 500 victims, many born there. I saw one today at the mall, using a cellphone. I recognised her uniform (normal clothes are banned) and she had a young child with her. Contraception is banned there, of course. Owning a phone is a reason to be expelled from the cult and your family can't contact you for fear of being expelled too. Of course.
The whole thing sickens me. The former leader sexually assaulted someone and was prosecuted. Of course.
I didn't speak to her because she might have thought that I was a devil worshipping heathen and I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable.
The whole thing bothers me. These people have been raised to fear normal life, they have been indoctrinated to think of non cult members as sinning 24/7.
