It's over 40C with the humidex today. My work area is in a pit, under an abri tempo...which is apparently a car shelter? Pic related. The "door" flaps on the short sides were down to block the sun better. They were set a bit away but there was little airflow and absolutely no wind. The air was so heavy and I wasn't able to breathe easily. I got heatstroked and went home early. :( after sitting in the air conditioned trailer for 45 minutes for lunch I could have gone back to work but I wouldn't have worked well and I was afraid I wouldn't have lasted long.I've worked at those temps before but the lack of air got to me. I'm a bit ashamed of myself.

I just need clothes that fit and shoes that actually give me support. It wasn't too terrible of a walk home I guess. My coworker had given me a cup of chili which was pretty good. Almost got into a situation because someone had acosted a homeless person, and another guy was helping them, and pointedly asked if I was the one that had done anything. I just ignored them and kept walking, it was about 3 miles in and I wasn't trying to stop and explain myself. Luckily the first person waved them off so I didn't have to fight some random.
All in all... I'll probably have to do this twice a week till I get a vehicle. I've been considering bringing my bike on Saturdays, but I'm not trying to bike both ways on Sunday.

Had an annoying thing when I got home from work today. You know how when you look at a bright light then look away, there's some purple cloudy stuff across your vision? I had that, but it lasted for like a bit over an hour. It didn't blind me or anything, just made it annoying to use my phone, and it was too difficult to do my 40k painting until it passed.
Anyone else ever get that kind of thing? It's happened to me a few other times, but only very occasionally. Like maybe just four other times, not with any regularity. Nonetheless, might see if I can get to an optician's sometime.

I mentioned it to my mum, and she said she sometimes gets the same thing when she has migraines. I looked into it a bit, and apparently people can get migraines that don't cause any pain but do impair vision. Apparently my dad sometimes gets something like that too. So that might be what's happening.
