I think it's pretty restrictive, first trimester is OK, second trimester more questionable?

Pregnancy is one of the riskiest medical conditions there is. A pregnant woman is, by definition, at risk -- if not from the medical condition, then frequently from the father, especially when the pregnancy is unintended.
You're most likely a virgin, so this doesn't apply right now -- but if you ever do find out anything about sex, relationships, and the real world, perhaps your judgment would be better directed towards those whose lack of support, total irresponsibility, and (often) violence causes women to turn toward abortion as a devastating option that's still preferable to actually having the child.
It's most rare for women to turn to abortion when they don't feel themselves "at risk" in some significant way, whether medically, socially, or financially. You simply lack the life experience to realize how vulnerable pregnancy makes women.
