I recently found out that rickets in infancy can lead to a head with a squarish shape at the top, and a bulbous forehead. You see, lack of vitamin D leads to lack of the hormone the kidneys transform it into which leads to not enough calcium absorption from the intestines into the blood which leads to a lack of calcium for developing good bones which leads to thin and spread skull plates which leads to the square head.
