If I have work, then mornings only. My hair looks better that way.

No preference. When I get to the point I am embarrassed to be around folks in public is when I draw the line.

Surely this place should have a "no" option in the poll?

Do you mean you take two showers a day, or just that it depends?

Evening. Always. I don't want to wake up earlier than I absolutely have to. And when it's cold I don't want to go outside with wet hair. And my work makes me dirty and sweaty.

Two a day. With the new 12 hour shifts, maybe I will no longer be able to do so

Both evening and morning. I just sleep better when I'm clean.

Evening. In fact I just took a shower and I have no intention on returning it!

Is it one of those deals where it's a 12 hour day but you only work 4 days a week? ?

3x8 hour shifts would seem to be better. You'd have a morning, afternoon, and night shift. I imagine nights are pretty quiet in an old folks home.

Yeah you should be. I hope they're hiring extra people or whatever they need to do.

All we know is it will be from 7Am- 7PM and vice versa. I would rather work a few hours every day than these hours. I am an insomnia and have a problem with having so few hours between shifts

They're hoping to use these new shifts to incentivize people to work here. They actually said this!!

Where I live, if you work in a hospital or at an extended stay care facility, you are working a 12 hour shift. I'm more surprised you haven't been working 12 hour shifts.

Maybe we just got lucky. I've been there over 9 years with regular shifts and many other employees 20+ years

crazy that they're trying to spin it as some kind of a good thing for employees. I can't think of a single reason to prefer a 12 hour shift, probably fucks you over in tax too

@1,148,829 (K)
Do you live in Rapture?

Anonymous D replied with this 5 years ago, 1 minute later, 19 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,148,837

@1,148,832 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC)
Yeah...12 he shifts are for people under 40. If your over 40 they should have to provide small doses of amphetamines and/or opiates to help one relax after the shift.

I had to work 12s once for about a year and the only way it was bearable was to have some good dope in between shifts

@1,148,837 (D)
12 hour shifts are inhumane regardless of age, thanks.

@1,148,829 (K)
That's horrible! I wonder why they do this. What's the upside to working all of your medical staff to exhaustion?

I told her it wasn't about her (long shifts she was unfavorable about) but it was about how she should do what the boss needed.
But I wasn't serious with that sentiment.

if you work like a 100 employees to death you don't need a 101st so you can use that money to go jet skiing and convert what's left to dollars to throw at the homeless
