I despise drunk drivers.
Oh god a few days ago an eight year old boy got killed just down the street. A lady was stopped at the stop sign and he ran out into the street as she started to leave. He was leaving his summer camp in the park, they were all right there and saw it happen. There's a mass of flowers put up where it happened. I feel awful for everyone.

I have too many clothes. A neighbour usually does a clothing swap a few times a year so I was looking forward to that to get rid of some but a few people in the building have had bedbugs (including her, and she just got rid of them) so she doesn't want to do it because it's too risky.
Bah at least I'm moving soon so I can look through everything and pack away what I won't use/don't need.

Yeah, I'm very glad I've never had to deal with them. I'm scared to ever get them. Especially because insects love biting me.
My roommate's cat and her kittens at the funeral home got fleas so we treated the whole apartment for fleas (much the same process as bedbug treatment minus the exterminator) and goddamn it was a pain in the ass.

Oh my last apartment building had mice. We were fine as long as my cat was there, but eventually I moved my cat to my boyfriend's place and spent less and less time there. I left a bag of sunflower seeds sitting on my dresser and didn't return for about three weeks. When I came back they had devoured the seeds, shit and pissed all over the dresser, climbed up the tapestry I had on the wall and crawled all over my bookshelf. Chewed the wires in the wall so an outlet stopped working, and climbed all over my clothes in the closet.
Ruined the dresser, the bookshelf, my record player, and the CD and cassette tape racks. The tapestry and clothes washed clean easily thank fuck. There were streaks of mouse piss on the wall and a mass of mouse shit on the floor under the dresser.
I'm so glad it cleaned easily and the smell didn't soak into the floorboards or something, like I bet cat piss would do.
Oh god when I first opened the door there was three of them just clinging to the tapestry. They scurried upwards then behind my bookshelf and totally disappeared. There was nowhere they could have gone! It makes no sense!
They came from this hole in my closet to access the bathroom pipes. As soon as I removed the scraps of snacks they fucked off.
