I'm not sure too much would be different, actually.

Siding with Fake anon on this one. You can absorb stuff into your blood through your skin. They have patches for lots of different medications.
I think what would help a lot is orchiectomy (castration). Your transition isn't going to be helped by testicles pumping out testosterone 24/7. I know they have anti-androgens but still. It would at least reduce the amount of stuff you have to take and make life easier on your body.

Fake anon didn't say that though lol.
And yeah, you can absorb stuff through your skin but it's obviously going to be way less efficient/effective than an injection. I'm sure they account for that when manufacturing, but idk.
On the other hand, maybe it's better to have your hormones be steadily absorbed over a long period of time (I'm guessing it works like the birth control patch, which you weat continuously and change weekly) than to get massive spikes of hormones.

for HRT, the variability of hormone levels that come with injections actually works better, I hear.
@OP
It's an intramuscular injection, you just jam it in your leg or whatever, you're not going to be looking for veins and all that spoopy needle stuff

I think they would test skin absorption and make an adjustment for it in the dosage.
I've often thought they should have an option for transwomen where your hormones vary on a 28-day cycle so you can get a more authentic female experience.

I definitely believe the levels vary from time to time, based on my own experiences. I don't think it's on any regular cycle though or if it is, it's pretty subtle. Doing some Googling on this I can't find much of a consensus on a regular male hormone cycle. I did read one article that said "if women didn't bleed, there would be doubts about a female hormone cycle". I obviously haven't experienced the female hormone cycle so I don't know what it's like, but is there a definite change in mood, feelings, etc, as you go through the cycle?

regular bleedings help iron from building up too high in the body. Males used to be prescribed leeches to solve the issue

I don't really notice any changes, mentally or physically! Some people do, hence PMS being a thing.

More like regular bleedings make you prone to low iron levels and anemia. Most women would benefit from an iron supplement. I should get one actually.
I try to only get my period half the time. Next time I speak to my doctor I'm gonna ask him for the pill that you can take continuouslt

And if males eat an extra bowl of iron fortified cereal they will have too much iron.

What are the effects of having too much iron?
Oh man I'm imagining life without periods. I love it. I really hope I can get that prescribed without a problem.
