I am honestly curious. You obviously think he is full of shit, but I want to know why you think that. Do you think his credentials are fake? Or, does he have some vested interest in deceiving the country? Or, is he a great liar? Why do you think you know more than him about Covid? I am sincerely asking.

I dont think hes full of shit. I think he needs to keep his mask on in public though if hes going to keep saying everyone else should.

I don't understand why he was saying back in January that it wasn't anything to worry about. The guy is real doctor, with real medical experience. He was profiled in Time magazine or Newsweek or whatever 40 years ago. So he's no slouch in terms of knowledge. So why was he saying that it wasn't a worry back in late January? Also, what caused him to change his mind? Obviously the reality of the situation but he must have felt like an idiot, well deserved too.

I already explained this. I think he's full of shit because he was wrong about Coronavirus, saying it presents no danger and that Americans shouldn't wear masks. Yes he is an expert. I have no doubt his credentials are 100% real. The thing about experts is, they are sometimes wrong. This is one of those cases.

Ok so, he has an MD and is an expert in Pandemiology. Why, specifically, do you think he is full of shit?

That is how science works. New knowledge means new conclusions. Do you really not understand this?

The thing is that I was tracking the numbers in mid January. I saw the 10 times increase in 10 days. Why didn't he?

The science on masks and illnesses transmitted by aerosols has been solved for over a hundred years (see pic from 1918). This isn't some new radical concept no one ever heard of before. Not to mention masks worked in previous similar pandemics like SARS. Fauci should have known better.
I do understand the scientific method, and that is not what Fauci was doing. Fauci wasn't out there testing hypotheses. Fauci was just wrong.

How do you know more? He advocates masks.

He advocates masks now. Not when it actually really mattered.
Okay you've asked me a lot of questions so I will ask you one: are experts ever wrong? Do experts ever fuck up in ways that cost lives? Can one see that the experts did it wrong without, themselves, having the same credentials?

Will you answer my question though: Do experts ever fuck up in ways that cost lives? Can one see that the experts did it wrong without, themselves, having the same credentials?

Yes, experts fuck up. That being said, the vast majority of experts are usually right in their field of expertise, until new knowledge comes along. Fauci is not alone: he represents the majority of pandemic experts. Another "expert" who screwed up, costing about 140,000 lives, is Trump.

You didn't answer the whole question. Now please answer the second half: Can one see that the experts did it wrong without, themselves, having the same credentials?
