I might finally be able to get some hands on experience with firearms. I've been inching closer to getting a gun for protection reasons since the world is getting crazy out there and especially for my kind. The second amendment still applies to me too. Notice how that debate suddenly just dropped off the face of the Earth? I think the left is finally realizing why such an amendment is needed.

I'm surprised it hasn't flipped to pro-2A so oppressed people can defend themselves like the Black Panthers in the '60s ?

I still find this image striking and I can't put my finger on what has changed in the last 50-odd years. You have two black guys open carrying a shotgun and a rifle. In front of them stands a pudgy white cop who looks more bored than anything. Gun not drawn. No one's getting shot. Certainly racism in policing should have been worse in the '60s, no? But yet you have visibly armed black guys walking around and not getting shot. The cops aren't even wearing body armor.
