Me too, those were grate.
I'd like to upgrade my phone, it's only three years old but certain functions that are essential for me have stopped working reliably. (most notably the gps for maps, i need directions when I drive).
But I want a nice small phone and those are becoming rarer and rarer.

They are very very worth it, they're only like $10. I absolutely do not trust myself to not fuck up my screen, I'm clumsy and take my phone to work (which obviously has its dangers) and stuff.

Samsung phones are Android based they've just replaced some of the Google apps with their own Samsung versions, they're still android though and have the Play Store and everything

It will have the Google apps on there and the Google app store! They just tuck them into a Google folder by default because they'd rather you use their versions of them. It may have a newer version of android for you to learn, but all your apps will be available :)

Samsung phones are usually pretty decent. I think it's a good suggestion. And as they already said, they're android based and support all the google apps and such. They just also have their own versions of the default google apps but you can uninstall or hide them.
