Bought a car key online. It arrived today, went to get it cut and programmed. Now I can remotely lock and unlock my car, yay! I was worried about not having that in winter, cause I park outside, if the lock freezes.
Also ordered eggs benedict and a crepe today and it was delicious.

I started to read this post to the tune of A Day in the Life by the Beatles. It starts off good, but the meter and rhyme scheme falls apart and doesn't quite meet up. I can't read it normally now. I just keep trying to make it fit into the song by eliding certain sounds or changing words.
I know that's not your problem. I thought I'd mention it because I'm bored and shit-posting while having some beer and burritos sounded like fun.

Do you ever hear music in white noise? I do sometimes. I thought I was going crazy until I found out it's a fairly common phenomenon.
Anonymous J replied with this 5 years ago, 45 minutes later, 14 hours after the original post[^][v]#1,145,404
@previous (chill dog !!81dzJNNYL)
Oh fuck. I hear everything from music to voices telling me to do stuff in white noise. It's often a condition that is dependent on the amount of time since I last slept. I have a bathroom fan that is particularly good at telling me things. For the longest time I thought it was the muted sound of my neighbors playing music next door. Sometimes I thought I heard them talking or laughing. I got weirdly suspicious when I thought they were always playing the song I was thinking about whenever I was in the bathroom or always having a loud conversation about exactly what I was thinking about. Maybe they just like shouting about esoteric subjects late at night? Maybe they just like hearing Lana Del Rey really loud at 5am when I get up to pee? It turns out that I started to think about them listening to La Marseillaise, and weirdly the music shifted to match up. Okay, mariachi music now. Yep. It changed again.
It wasn't them. It was me. It turns out it was just my brain trying to make a coherent picture of reality out of random noise from my shitty bathroom fan with a little of my conscious bias thrown in. It turns out that when there is no signal, a little conscious bias tips the scales pretty heavily. With a little practice, when I'm tired, I can actually consciously tweak it to hear whatever I like: music or familiar voices talking back to me. On the plus side, I can get really tired and just imagine stuff I want to hear. On the downside, this is lame skill to have because we have the internet now and I can get pretty much whatever I want to hear on demand anyway. I don't have to stay up for 36 hours and then go sit on the toilet. I can just stream stuff.
It's kind of funny and scary how our brains work though. They really try to reject the idea that random noise is happening and they insist, almost demand, that a pattern is out there. Our brains are incredible at producing signals from any random noise. These signals can bubble up into consciousness as patterns that confirm our expectations or describe our fears.
Also, there's a weird corvidae facts cartoon thing attached to this post. I'm not sure why that happened.

Sounds to me like you may be a touch schizophrenic, lad. I mean, I hear things in my head, but I've always been able to distinguish between real life sounds and sounds I imagine. With the exception of *some audio hallucinations, which are usually caused by hallucinogens rather than sleep deprivation. I say some, because 99% of the time I can still distinguish them from real life sounds. Idk, maybe I'm just the weird one.

Yeah. I can make out words, songs, poetry, whatever. I guess. Umm. I think maybe this is a apt description: > Your brain actively processes sensory input. It makes many assumptions and forces fits to recognized patterns. Your brain does not give a truly objective and accurate representation of the world. Rather, it gives you a human view—one that is full of pattern recognition—sometimes real, sometimes forced.
At least from what I browsed. I might try to read all of that site later if I resist punching myself in head repeatedly as they define every FUCKING greek root like I don't know it and was reading this as a 8 year old. Anyway maybe that comes close. I'm basically describing the phenomenon of hearing thing out of white noise. Not mishearing words. Not mishearing music. Not identifying voices. Not mishearing words from other words. Not hearing thoughts inserted into my head to having internal voices inside me.(c'mon AnonWebPsyD, consult a fucking DSM first)
I'm just talking about making "sense" out of random noise. I don't think it's a real voice. It's fun once you do it. It can confusing if it happens and you don't realize it. I could see how people could maybe confuse the two.
EDIT:
Sorry, cleaned it up.

The psychosis I spoke of want just a momentary or brief occurrence. It went on for for about three or four years. but only manifested itself when I used the cocaine. The moment I pushed of on each run it would begin and when that run ended it would subside until the next time. This was every weekend and occasionally a time or two again during the week. After a few weeks I anticipated the deal because it was quite pleasant at first. It did in time become darker in nature towards the end of my using.

Those digs aren't done just for shits and giggles. If the city decides they're going to build a road on top of the cemetery where your loved ones are buried, wouldn't you want to have them exhumed and reinterred, not just have the highway thrown on top?

Now graverobbing is commonly considered to be a bad thing. However, if you happen to be assigned to a cemetery where wealthy people were buried with large quantities of valuable items, and you were to "accidentally" discover those items by digging them up on a whim, it would be totally understandable if you held onto them after the dig ended and parted ways with them in exchange for just compensation for your efforts. Just saying...

This one is also with someone I haven't worked for yet (she's said that my coworkers told her good things about me). It's in Quebec city anyway tho, so I'd have to find my own lodging. And Obsidian are making a new Pillars of Eternity RPG, but it seems like a Bethesda type game! Seriously excited for that.

I can't sleep because I took two naps today. I've been napping a lot lately because a medication I just started makes me drowsy. Which is unfortunate because another medication I just started makes me have incredibly vivid and strange dreams, so sometimes I wake up not feeling refreshed at all because I spent the entire night sorting all the books at my local library or some other dumb mundane shit.

Coworker hops on every opportunity to shit on the Democrats as much as possible, spewing garbage from memes on Facebook about millions of Muslims being brought in, and Sharia law being enacted.
Meanwhile the US president is sending federal agents to snatch folk, detain them, and not give proper identification as they're doing it. Martial law isn't on the horizon, it's here.
Anyways look out for eternal God emperor Trump, since election day is only months away.

For some reason my car battery was really low and my car wouldn't start. Got a boost and drove around 50km/h for an hour to charge it a bit. Now my schedule is fucked up, I wanted to sleep early because I'm working tomorrow and should wake up around 5-5.30.
I don't know why that happened tho, i was driving and stopped for like five minutes to go to the dep and the lights were off. Maybe it's cause I do a lot of really short trips? I've heard that you have to drive for like 20 minutes to start charging your battery. Worried this will happen again.

Luckily no that hasn't happened, and I basically set deadlines a day or two earlier than they actually need to be done so that I can have some cushion built-in when they inevitably don't turn in their work on time. Still, they are like 20 years older than me and make substantially more than I do. I shouldn't need to babysit them and make sure they do their homework on time. It's not even really work they need to personally do. They can just have some junior member of their department handle it, but they just...don't. Otherwise, things are okay at work! About once or twice a month though I'll get gesplooted by this nonsense though.

I was getting stressed out at work because the hole I'm digging is progressing slower than the other peoples', but it turns out that it's more complicated and has more going on so that makes sense. :) we think we might finish before the full two weeks are up, so I might start the cemetery earlier than I thought. We'll see! I definitely need to ask for some advice on digging sepulchres before this ends so I don't show up totally clueless.

@1,148,073 (Fake anon !ZkUt8arUCU)
It's a survey, so we're just digging to see what we find. Historically there's been tanneries and residential buildings in the area since the late 1600s, and on this land specifically since at least like 1710. Prehistorically there's no known sites in the area, but it's really an ideal site for habitation so we don't know. We think we may have found a piece of prehistoric pottery in my hole!
Structurally we've got walls of buildings, artifactually lots of glass, bones, ceramic, metal (mostly nails). The normal stuff. I found a pretty little piece of jewellery earlier, gonna take a picture of it later.
I asked about working in cemeteries, and apparently: wearing gloves is really important otherwise you could get sick, be careful to collect all the teeny tiny bones, listen to everything your boss and coworkers say, that's it :)

The wind is whistling through the window and it's scaring my pupper. Poor thing. I do find it surprising how much she gets scared by regular weather events considering she used to be homeless, though.

By choice, yes. A surprising amount of people choose that lifestyle. They like travelling for free, getting to experience life in places all over the continent, living with friends they make or outside with other travellers if they must, getting under the table work when it's available and panhandling when there isn't work to be had.
I undertand the appeal, honestly.

Attempted to make a cheese sauce from scratch for the second time tonight, since I bought some jalapenos from the farmer's market. Came out alright, I think I underdeveloped the roux but that's life, I guess. It's late and butter spattering sounds waking people up would have been bad.

Helped a bud get ready for his kid's bday party today (it's really nice to see a good father-son relationship, and this kid's birthday party is always a big block event. This year there's gonna be a fucking bouncy house and pool. Our neighbour has like four kids and his car broke so I'm picking them up from their moms house like an hour and a half away for him this weekend so they can attend)
Had an opportunity for a session on my back tattoo but turned it down because i ate some ice cream without taking a lactose pill before he texted me and my stomach hurt, oh well
Now I'm going to bed cause it's super late and I have work tomorrow
